AWS IdP of Last Resort Accounts

If your organisation email is not under MyAccessID, you will require an AWS Identity Centre account (IdP of Last Resort). This is a fallback authentication method for users whose organisations are not integrated with the standard identity provider. Once you receive an invitation to the Portal, your AWS account will be created within 1 working day. After your account is created, follow the link and steps below.

Creating your account

1. Enter your email address

Enter your email address. This must match the email you were invited to the portal:

If at this stage AWS asks you to enter your password without verifying your email, this is a sign that your account still hasn't been created, or you are logging in with the wrong email.

Please wait 1 working day after your invitation for your account to be created. If AWS is still not asking you to verify your account at this stage, contact your PI or get support from BriCS.

2. Verify your email

You will receive an email from [email protected] with a verification code. Enter the verification code on the AWS page.

3. Set up multi-factor authentication

You must set up an MFA (multi-factor authentication) device for additional security:

4. Choose a password

The final step is to choose a password.

If you see the page below, you have now correctly created an AWS IdP of Last Resort account.

Continue to "Isambard IdP" to log in to the BriCS portal.
