Shared Responsibility Model

The shared responsibility model is modelled from a cloud security framework that dictates the security obligations of an infrastructure provider and its customers to ensure accountability and transparency. The model is designed to help organizations understand their responsibilities when it comes to securing their data and applications on the infrastructure.

BriCS Shared Responsibility Model

The shared responsibility model for BriCS services and facilities is as follows:

BriCS Responsibilities

BriCS is responsible for the security of the infrastructure that runs all of the services offered in the cloud. This infrastructure is composed of the hardware, software, networking, and facilities that run the services.

User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for the security of their data and applications that they run on the infrastructure. This includes the following:

  • Ensuring that their data and applications are secure and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Implementing appropriate security controls to protect their data and applications from unauthorized access.
  • Monitoring their data and applications for security incidents and responding to them in a timely manner.

Acceptance of Shared Responsibility

By using BriCS services and facilities, you agree to the shared responsibility model outlined above. You acknowledge that BriCS is responsible for the security of the infrastructure that runs the services, and that you are responsible for the security of your data and applications that you run on the infrastructure.
