Planned Maintenance

Please see below for current and upcoming scheduled maintenance which may impact users of BriCS services and facilities.

2026-08-05 @ 09:00 to 17:00 BST	Rebuild of compute and login nodes with updated node image	BlueCrystal 5 Early Access	During the maintenance session all login and compute nodes will be rebooted into the updated node image. SSH login access will be interrupted while the update is performed and the updated system is validated. All compute nodes will be placed in a reservation for the duration of the maintenance session to prevent jobs from starting that would overlap with the maintenance session.	Any jobs held due to the maintenance reservation will be queued during the maintenance session and scheduled to run after the reservation is removed.
2026-09-10 (tentative, exact date and times TBC) BST	Shutdown to enable power work to connect the National AI Data Facility.	Isambard-AI Phase 2	The system will be unavailable for one day around this date.	This work is still being planned and more timing information will be provided once the schedule is known.
