Planned Maintenance

Please see below for current and upcoming scheduled maintenance which may impact users of BriCS services and facilities.

2025-11-04 @ 10:00 to 14:00 UTC	Day 1 - First half of the Compute nodes will have an update applied.	Isambard-AI Phase 2 Compute Service	We have decided to carry the image update over 2 days to minimise any disruption. Half of the Compute nodes will be done on day1 and the other half on day2. Isambard-AI Phase 2 computes nodes may stop running jobs before the update to allow the update to be applied.
2025-11-05 @ 10:00 to 14:00 UTC	Day 2 - Second half of the Compute nodes will have an update applied. 2025-11-05 @ 10:00 to 13:00 UTC	Network update	Isambard-AI Phase 1, Isambard-AI Phase 2, Isambard 3	All services should be considered at risk as the site network capacity is being upgraded.
2025-11-17 and 2025-11-18 @ 9:00 to 17:00 UTC	Reduced compute capacity	Isambard-AI Phase 2 Compute Service	Isambard-AI Phase 2 compute nodes will be in placed in maintenance mode. Half of the compute nodes on one day, the other half the second day, to allow maintenance on the cooling infrastructure.
2025-12-02 @ 10:00 to 16:00 UTC	Physical works affecting Isambard-AI Phase 2	Isambard-AI Phase 2 Compute Service	Isambard-AI Phase 2 compute nodes need to be idle to allow physical works to be performed. Compute nodes will be drained using a reservation starting at 10:00 local. User access to the login nodes will not be affected and work can be submitted as usual and will queue until service is resumed. We expect service to be resumed by 16:00 local or earlier.
